If you are seeking to gain a greater understanding of natural history and the natural world or have an interest in working towards the conservation of our environment and its unique natural features such as flora, fauna and fungi, and/or want to spend time with like-minded people in beautiful natural places, our Society has a lot to offer you. Working with FNSSA members is a great way for students to gain experience working in the field, to learn how to ID particular groups of fauna and flora and learn how to survey, including catching and handling, under the guidance of expert members working under DEW permits.

You may have other ideas of why joining FNSSA will be good for you – All are welcome.

Feel free to attend our meetings or excursions as a visitor before you join – you can contact us for more information.
